Turning point of Nelson Mandela

  • Much to the disappointment of his family, Mandela became involved in politics
  • In 1944 Mandela helped found the ANC Youth League,
  • by 1962 Mandela had been arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment in the notorious Robben Island prison
  • Recently lost his eldest son to this disease






Nelson Mandela's achievements :
  • Mandela was able to finish his degree and qualified as a Lawyer.
  • elected State President of South Africa on and was President until June 1999. 
  • he was widely admired and has received many prestigious awards.
  • In 1993 Nelson Mandela was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize  jointly  with F.W. De Klerk

Timeline of Fred Hollows

1929         was born in New Zealand


 2005        established the first Aboriginal Medical Service


1976-1978         his teams screened 100,000 people


1980           had extended his campaign for treating avoidable eye disease in Eritrea


1989          was diagnosed with Cancer


1990          was awarded the title of Australian of the Year


1992         worked in more than thirty countries around the world since the Foundation was   established.

1874        settled at the Mologa


1884        got married with his first wife  (Annie Clarendon)


1889        was widowed


1893        got married for second timewith (Agnes Hamilton)


1928        got marriedfor third time with (Mrs Sarah Nelson)


1929        his son became World Sprint


1920-1930    he became a spokesmanof  membership of the Australian Workers' Union


1933         left Cumeroogunga to beformed by the Melbourne Aboriginal community


1935         led the first Aboriginal deputation


1937        formed Progressive Association in Sydney


1937        collected 1814 signatures from Aborigines all over Australia


1938        led the first deputation to a prime minister


1940         retired in Barmah.


1941        died at the age of 80

Solar Taxi

The engineer Louis Palmer from Sweden has invented the Solar Taxi . At the first time it was used by Ki -moon from UN. He did a journey to his work with that taxi and was hopeful  that could pass a positive message to the people around the world to be creative. In my opinion it is an interesting invention for saving power in our daily usage which we could  prevent of air pollution and also  it will help to reduce current alternative energy.

Immigration to Australia 1992 &2002


This graph indicates the number of immigration to Australia in 1992 and 2002.As we can see There is a fluctuate graph .
It shows , there is a dramatic drop in number of immigration from Europe to Australia and the number of immigration from Oceania rise up strongly in 2002.
